Allegheny County Health Department

The Allegheny County Health Department's (ACHD) mission is to protect, promote, and preserve the health and well-being of the more than 1.2 million people who call Allegheny County home. The ACHD offers clinical services including immunization, dentistry, and sexual health resources, as well as programs designed to promote a safer, healthier community for all by focusing on air quality, lead exposure, and other environmental factors that impact residents.

The Allegheny County Health Department is one of only six health departments in Pennsylvania to be accredited by the Public Health Administration Board.

Health Department Data

The Health Department produces a variety of reports, dashboards, and publications. Access to data on chronic diseases, infectious diseases, air quality, lead, and opioid use and overdose can be found on the Health Department Data page.

Clinical Services

Immunization Clinic

Protect against serious diseases such as the flu, COVID-19, RSV, measles, whooping cough, and more. Appointments are preferred and are given priority, walk-ins are also accepted.

Public Health Clinic - HIV/STD

Allegheny County offers in-office testing and treatment, and resources for STDs/STIs, partner services, and sexual health and well-being, as well as free at-home STI testing kits.
