Vaping-related Lung Illness Report Form

Use of e-cigarettes, or vaping, has been associated with a recent emergence of severe lung disease in individuals from around the United States. Reported symptoms include cough, shortness of breath, or chest pain; nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; fatigue, fever, or weight loss. Many patients become hospitalized anywhere from a few days to a few weeks after first noticing symptoms. Most of those reported have vaped THC-containing products.

CDC recommends that you consider refraining from using e-cigarettes if you are concerned about the associated health risks. CDC also encourages any one who has recently used an e-cigarette and who is experiencing symptoms similar to those listed above to seek medical care. Vaping products should not be purchased off the street. Individuals using e-cigarettes should not modify or add substances to such devices if not intended by the manufacturer.
