Time to send that squash a-sailing, at this year's Punkin Chunkin! Join the Allegheny County Parks and SHARP Robotics from the Sarah Heinz House on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm to watch as pumpkins are launched across the amphitheater field in Hartwood Acres Park by a full-size trebuchet. Accompanying the trebuchet shoot are activities including:

  • Crafts
  • Games
  • Face painting
  • Balloon art
  • Medieval sword fighting
  • Cookie decorating
  • Farmer's market
  • Food and beer for purchase

Punkin Chunkin is free and open to all ages, with fun and games for the whole family, even furry friends! Bring pups in their best costume to the Howl-o-Ween Bark or Treat event next to the amphitheater for treats, tricks, and tennis balls.
