Showmobile Rentals

The Showmobile is a portable outdoor stage available for rental, and can be the perfect addition to events like races or walkathons, musical performances, speaking engagements, and family reunions. The Showmobile is also available for group outings and events, such as scouts and youth groups, businesses, community groups, church groups, unions, and more.

Rental rates include delivery and pickup of the unit. Rental is only available for events taking place within Allegheny County.

Rental Application

Step 1.Complete the Rental Application Form

Submission of the application form does not guarantee rental of the Showmobile. Separate application forms are required for each rental occurring in non-consecutive instances. Applications are only valid for the current calendar year, and reservations via phone or in person are not accepted.

Applications to rent the Showmobile must be submitted no less than 75 days prior to an event. If the request is approved, applicants must have all payment and completed documentation on file no less than 60 days before the rental date(s). Reservations are not complete until payment and all required documents are received and approved.

Step 2.Submit the Completed Application Form

Email the completed application form to showmobile@alleghenycounty.us. All applications are processed in the order in which they're received, and responses are typically issued within two weeks.

All applicants will receive an approval or denial email once the application has been processed. If the application is approved, the renter must complete the following steps. If a rental request is not approved by the Allegheny County Parks Department, the applicant may submit a new application to request alternate dates and restart the application process.

Step 3.Approved Applicants

Immediate Action Required
Within five (5) business days of receipt of the reservation request email, the applicant must complete the Date Acceptance Form to officially confirm the requested dates. The email will include a registration ID number specific to the applicant that is required to secure the requested dates.

Failure to confirm the provided dates will result in release of the requested dates to the next applicant. 

60 Days Prior to Event
Applicants must submit payment, the signed rental agreement, and satisfactory certificate of insurance at least 60 days before the rental date. Reservations are not complete until payment and all required documents are received and approved.

Note: For tax-exempt organizations, municipalities, and/or non-profits, a copy of 501c3 and/or tax exemption must be submitted with the applications form to receive a discount.

Terms

The Director of Parks will execute a contract for weekly rentals on behalf of the County Executive. Any additional costs realized by the county are to be reimbursed by the renter.

Rental Conditions

  • The Showmobile requires access to 110v power
  • Sound and lighting equipment is not equipped
  • County events have first preference for scheduling
  • Reservations accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis

Insurance Requirements

  1. The organization listed as insured on the insurance must match the organization listed on the application
  2. Certificate of insurance must name the County of Allegheny as the certificate holder and name County of Allegheny, its Chief Executive, officers, agents, and employees as additional insured
  3. Licensee shall maintain the following minimum insurance coverages throughout the Rental Term:
       $  1,000,000.00 commercial general liability per occurrence
       $  2,000,000.00 general aggregate
       $       10,000.00 medical per person
       $  1,000,000.00 umbrella/excess liability per occurrence
       Workers’ compensation at state minimum requirements

Allegheny County reserves the right to decline, cancel, or change any request or rental at any time. In submitting a Showmobile Rental Request, the applicant hereby agrees to all processes, policies, and requirements for rental, and compliance with all Allegheny County regulations therein.
