South Park

 

South Park is one of the largest parks in Allegheny County spanning more than 2,013 acres of land across Bethel Park and South Park Township. This historic park offers a range of recreational activities for residents and visitors, extensive trails for hiking and biking, sports fields, an ice skating rink, an 18-hole golf course, a BMX track, a wave pool, an amphitheater that hosts the free Summer Concert Series on Friday evenings throughout the summer, and many more amenities.

Throughout the year, South Park also offers seasonal events and educational programs making it a popular spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts, all while enhancing the quality of life for those living in and visiting Allegheny County.

Featured Fact:

The Oliver Miller Homestead is near where the first shots of the famous Whiskey Rebellion, which protested the federal whiskey tax, were fired in 1794.
