Braden-Meiter-Ranger

Braden Meiter

Lead Supervisory Park Ranger
Braden Meiter is the Lead Supervisory Park Ranger for Allegheny County Parks. Since the inception of the Park Rangers in 2015, Braden has enjoyed seeing the division grow into what it is today. Areas of interest for Braden include the parks’ historical sites as well as the reptiles and amphibians that call our parks home.

 


Ranger Max Bader

Senior Park Ranger
Max Bader is the Senior Park Ranger for the South Region Parks. He joined the team in 2015 and he enjoys hiking, leading volunteer stewardship projects, and sharing his interest in nature with others.

 


Ranger Deaglan McManus

Senior Park Ranger
Deaglan McManus is the Senior Park Ranger for the North Region Parks. He joined the Allegheny County Park Rangers in May 2017 and has a strong interest in the cultural and natural history of the parks, facilitating programs for diverse audiences, and improving the usability of our trail system.

 


Ranger Elise Cupps

Education and Outreach Coordinator
Elise Cupps is the Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Allegheny County Park Rangers. Since joining the team in 2016, Elise manages our Parks to Schools/Schools to Parks program and organize our educational programming. She enjoys teaching children and adults and helping them gain an appreciation for our parks.

 


Ranger Tyler Loper

Tyler Loper

Park Ranger
Tyler Loper started as a seasonal ranger in the summer of 2019 and joined the year-round team in 2020. Tyler works primarily in the Northern Region Parks and is interested in learning and sharing about the flora, fauna, and fungi that call our parks home.

 


Mathew Golub

Matthew Golub

Park Ranger
Matthew worked as a seasonal ranger in 2020 before returning as a full-time ranger in 2022. He works primarily in the Southern Region parks and is passionate about insects and teaching people about the more overlooked parts of the natural world.

 


Anjelyque Easley-DeLuca

Anjelyque Easley-DeLuca

Park Ranger
Anjelyque Easley-DeLuca joined the Allegheny County Park Rangers in May 2023 and works primarily in the Northern Region parks. Anjelyque has a strong interest in the cultural and natural landscape designs. She is enthusiastic about educating diverse groups about small, often overlooked natural designs and details that shape the world around them.

 


Tom Shields

Tom Shields

Park Ranger
Tom Shields worked as a seasonal ranger in 2022 before coming on as full-time in 2023. He works primarily in the Northern Region Parks, and is interested in learning about the wildlife and history of the parks while connecting park visitors to the resources.

 


Maggie Oblak

Maggie Oblak

Park Ranger
Maggie Oblak joined the Park Ranger team in May 2023 as the Trail Crew Lead before coming on as a full-time ranger. She works primarily in the Southern region parks and is interested in improving the trail system for everyone, while also connecting to people, both local and visiting to our parks, through interpretive programs.

 


Thomas Dowling

Thomas Dowling

Park Ranger
Thomas Dowling worked as a seasonal ranger in 2020 before returning as a full-time ranger in 2023. He works primarily in the Southern Region parks where he hopes to share his passion for the wildlife and fungi that call our parks home.

 


Daniel Levis

Daniel Levis

Park Ranger
Daniel is a full-time ranger stationed at Round Hill Park since 2024. While he enjoys interpretive programs in schools and on trails, he spends most of the spring and summer engaging groups with programming about agriculture and history on the farm. Daniel looks to spark an appreciation of our connection to other living organisms, wild and domestic.

 


Ben Kehoe

Ben Kehoe

Park Ranger
Ben has returned to the Park Rangers from Audubon Society of Western PA, where he worked in the role of Community Conservation Coordinator in the Mon Valley region. Through this position, he gained an added appreciation and excitement for community engagement through environmental education. Ben’s interests are birding, tree identification, hiking, inclusion in natural spaces, and being curious about everything.

 


Mr. McSlithers

Mr. McSlithers is a Black Rat Snake and is the Allegheny County Park Rangers Educational Animal. His favorite thing about working with the Rangers is teaching children and adults about local snake species, including why snakes are important to the ecosystem and how snakes are beneficial to people. He lives at the Boyce Park Administration Building but loves to travel throughout the county visiting schools and events.
