Deer Lakes Park

Deer Lakes Park is the perfect destination for outdoor lovers from sunup to sundown. Located in Frazer and West Deer Townships, this 1,180-acre park space is home to some of the most unique features in all of the Allegheny County Parks. Astronomy enthusiasts and casual parkgoers alike can explore the Wagman Observatory and join stargazing parties throughout the year. Deer Lakes Park also has three lakes (as the name implies) for fishing that's stocked year-round, the only disc golf course in the Allegheny County Parks, a spray park that's perfect for cooling off in the summertime, and much more to explore!

Renowned as a fisher’s paradise, the lakes in Deer Lakes Park are human-made and spring-fed. State fisheries regularly stock them with panfish like bluegill, crappie, perch, sunfish, and trout, while some catfish and bass can be found here too. The picnic areas of the park all have the names of fish, adding to its appeal as a popular fishing spot.
