Activities in the Spotlight

Dek Hockey

Join leagues or play individual dek hockey games in North, Settlers Cabin, and South Parks. Clinics and rink rentals are also available.

Soccer

Unleash your potential with Allegheny County's soccer programs, emphasizing skill development and sportsmanship in a fun environment.

Tennis and Pickleball

Play traditional or platform tennis and pickleball at any of the accessible courts in the Allegheny County Parks.

Archery

Practice archery at Boyce and North Parks. Visitors to the range must bring their own equipment and targets. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Basketball Courts

Play solo or join friends for basketball in the Allegheny County Parks, and explore Bankshot Basketball in South Park.

Bikes, Blades, and Boards

Enjoy biking, blading & boarding; dek hockey, inline skating & ice skating in various parks. All skill levels are welcome.

Disc Golf

Deer Lakes Park features the only disc golf course in the Allegheny County Parks system, which is free and open to the public.

Dog Parks

All Allegheny County Parks are pet-friendly. Most of the Allegheny County Parks feature off-leash dog parks for free play and socialization.

Fishing

The Allegheny County Parks offers fishing in North and Deer Lakes Parks. Fishing licenses are required at all Allegheny County lakes.

Golf Courses

Book tee times to play at one of two USGA-ranked 18-hole, par 72 golf courses, in the Allegheny County Parks.

Ice Skating and Hockey

Allegheny County offers ice skating and hockey at the rinks at North and South Parks. Tickets are available online or in-person at each rink.

Latodami Nature Programs

Latodami Nature Center provides year-round nature programs available to the public, as well as schools, scouts, and private groups.

Orienteering

Learn land navigation skills by orienteering throughout Hartwood Acres Park to find marked locations using only a map and compass.

Park Rangers

Park Rangers offer nature programs for the public and also for local schools and communities.

Playgrounds

Learn more about the playgrounds in all of the Allegheny County Parks. Fun for all ages and accessibility levels!

Pump Track and Climbing Wall

Explore the bouldering park and brand new pump track at Boyce Park, the largest facility of its kind in the area.

Special Interest

Discover unique activities like flying remote airplanes; touring a farm; exploring the stars; and seeing how pioneers lived.

Spray Parks

Visit the spray parks at Deer Lakes and Round Hill Parks. Both facilities are ADA accessible, and free and open to the public.

Swimming and Wave Pools

Allegheny County features a large, historic swimming pool at North Park, and wave pools in Boyce, Settlers Cabin, and South Parks.

Trails and Hiking

Hike on the trails and explore the natural beauty of the Allegheny County Parks. Every park has unique trails, obstacles, and vistas to explore.
