Part of Round Hill Road to Close Starting on April 8

PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that Round Hill Road between Simpson Howell Road and Douglas Run Road in Elizabeth Township will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024. The closure, which is expected to end in June 2024, is required for replacement of Douglass Run Bridge No. 19, including new pavement, pavement markings, scour protection, and guide rail.

Traffic will be detoured using Scenery Drive (Route 48), Pineview Drive, and Douglas Run Road.

Douglass Run Bridge No. 19 carries an average of 1,866 vehicles daily.

The project will be done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum as part of a $2.6 million contract that also includes work on six other bridges.
