PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that Cliff Mine Road between Woodcrest Drive and Pine Lane in North Fayette will close starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024. The closure, which is expected to end in June 2024, is required for replacement of Montour Run Bridge No. 15, including new pavement, rumble strips, pavement markers and markings, signage, and guide rail as well as removal of gravel and sediment from Montour Run.

Traffic will be detoured using West Allegheny Road, Steubenville Pike, and Mahoney Road. Residents living near the closure area will have access to their homes at all times.

Montour Run Bridge No. 15 carries an average of 3,704 vehicles daily. It has a bridge condition rating of 3 (poor condition) on a 0-9 scale based on National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) established by the Federal Highway Administration. The project will be done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum as part of a $2.6 million contract that also includes work on six other bridges.
