PITTSBURGH – The Department of Public Works announced today that the 400 block of Baileys Run Road in East Deer is expected to reopen on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. The closure, which began on May 6, 2024, was required for construction of a retaining wall, drainage improvements, milling and paving, and replacement of pavement markings.

Another section of Baileys Run Road – between the Route 28 entrance ramp and Freeport Road – will close on July 31. That closure, which is expected to end in October 2024, is required for construction of a retaining wall, drainage improvements, milling and paving, and replacement of pavement markings.

Traffic will be detoured using Russellton Airport Road, Butler Logan Road, Crawford Run Road, and Freeport Road.

Baileys Run Road is used by an average of 4,363 drivers daily.

The $1.5 million project is being done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum.
