Division Commander District 1
Inspector Wesley McClellan
Inspector Wesley McClellan is assigned as the Division Commander for District 1 at Pittsburgh International Airport.
Inspector McClellan began his career with the Allegheny County Police in 1992 as a Patrol Officer at District One and then District Two. From 1996-2005 he served on the Allegheny County public housing patrol team. In 2005 he was transferred to the Narcotics Section as a Detective.
After five years in Narcotics, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant at Districts 2 & 3. Inspector McClellan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2018 and served as the District 2 station commander. During his time as a Sergeant and Lieutenant, Inspector McClellan also served as unit commander for several specialty units: Mounted Unit, Motorcycle Unit, and Crisis Negotiators.
In 2020 Inspector McClellan took over as Division Commander of Districts 2 and 3, overseeing patrol of all county parks. Inspector McClellan currently serves as the Commander of the Allegheny County Police SWAT Team and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, 288th Session.
