Frank DiCristofaro

Frank J. DiCristofaro began his career with Allegheny County at Shuman Juvenile Detention Center in 1985 as a Youth Care Worker. There, he worked with the delinquent youth of Allegheny County in a secure setting. Frank was then hired by the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in January 1989 as a Probation Officer. He remained employed with the Probation Department until March 2020 when he retired with over 32 years of dedicated service.
Once Frank began employment with the Courts, he became a member of the Allegheny Court Association of Professional Employees Union. This union represents all the professional employees that are employed by the Court of Common Pleas. Frank was quickly elected to the union's executive board and held every position on the board until he was eventually elected to the position of President. In 2013, Frank was elected by the retired and active employees of the Allegheny County Pension System to be one of their two elected members on the Retirement Board of Allegheny County. He is currently serving his third term and was elected Chairman of the Board on October 19, 2023.
Prior to his career with Allegheny County, Frank attended Duquesne University and received a BA degree in Criminal Justice. He also attended Community College of Allegheny County and received an AS degree in Business Administration.
Frank is a lifelong resident of Allegheny County. He resides in White Oak with his son, who is a Finance Major at the University of Pittsburgh. Frank enjoys attending Pittsburgh sporting events with his family and friends.
