County Executive's Office Internships

The County Executive's Office is no longer accepting internship applications.
The County Executive is the highest elected official in Allegheny County and is responsible for the oversight and operation of 20 departments under the jurisdiction of the executive branch. In addition to providing leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of county government under the authority of the office, the County Executive negotiates, awards, and signs all contracts or other agreements on behalf of the county. The County Executive is responsible for meeting any state of emergency, enforcing ordinances and resolutions of the county, and ensuring that county operations are characterized by excellence, professionalism, efficiency, openness, equity, and integrity.
The Allegheny County Executive Office often seeks creative, hard-working, skilled, and highly collaborative graduate and undergraduate students to help transform Allegheny County government into an accountable, transparent, and responsive force that delivers housing, safety, opportunity, health, and high-quality service to every population, in every neighborhood of the over 100 municipalities included in Allegheny County.
