About the Director’s Action Line
The purpose of the DAL is to provide a personal response to individuals who
have questions, concerns, or complaints about any child welfare service or
DHS-contracted provider of child welfare services.
The DAL was implemented in the fall of 1996 in the interest of providing quality
service, addressing concerns, and resolving issues that hinder
effective service delivery. In 1998, the DAL
expanded to respond to callers interested in any service authorized by
DHS.
