Allegheny County Council is the legislative branch of the county government, consisting of fifteen elected officials serving four-year terms. Thirteen members are elected by district and two elected county-wide, per the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter.
Powers and duties of the Council include:
Allegheny County Council holds Regular Meetings for Council Members in-person twice monthly on Tuesdays at 5:00 pm at the Allegheny County Courthouse Gold Room (4th floor) at 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Participants can attend Regular Meetings in person or watch via Livestream or YouTube.
